In this flat, nestled in the heart of Trastevere in Rome, we transformed the two main functional rooms: the kitchen and the bathroom. An elegant, contemporary aesthetics with a warm feel was the brief of our client.
To achieve this intriguing balance of contemporaneity and warmth, we centred the design upon the fusion of two materials: microcement, for a seamless, almost industrial feel and wood, in its most traditional pattern, the Herringbone. In the kitchen, we opted for microcement on the flooring, the splashback and the countertop to create clean lines and seamless surfaces, incredibly easy to maintain and clean.
Microcement is a decorative seamless surface that speaks an understated elegance and sophistication. A bespoke kitchen in sleek white, complemented by wooden accents, brought the ideal balance of modernity and cosy, lived-in feel.

In the master bathroom, we conbined the warmth of wooden Herringbone flooring with the sleek embrace of microcement walls, achieving the ultimate soft minimalism that transforms an everyday routine into a relaxing ritual.
